Malam itu, suasana di stasiun kereta terasa agak sepi, tapi ada sesuatu yang menunggu di sana. Lampu-lampu jalan yang redup memantulkan cahaya di rel-rel yang kosong, sementara udara malam yang agak dingin berhembus pelan. Di antara hiruk-pikuk suara orang yang berlalu-lalang, terdengar suara deru mesin kereta yang mulai mendekat.

From a distance, you could hear the faint whistle of the train, almost like a warning or a call to those waiting.

Orang-orang yang berdiri di pinggir peron mulai memusatkan perhatian. Some of them look at their watches, while others just stare into the dark horizon, anticipation written on their faces.

Beberapa di antaranya terlihat sibuk dengan ponsel, mungkin mengecek jadwal atau sekedar mencari tahu apakah kereta mereka on time. Tapi tak lama lagi, mereka semua akan berhenti sejenak, tertarik oleh satu hal: kereta yang mulai muncul dari kejauhan.

Kereta itu, dengan lampu-lampu kuning yang menyinari rel, semakin dekat, semakin jelas terlihat. Suara mesinnya makin keras, menciptakan getaran yang terasa di seluruh tubuh.

The train is about to stop, and the lights from the station reflect off the shiny body of the locomotive, making it look almost surreal under the night sky.

People start moving closer to the platform edge, eager, some with bags in hand, others just standing still in the crowd, their minds already drifting to where they are headed.

When the train finally stops, the doors open, and a slight rush of people gets on. The air feels a little warmer now with everyone crowding inside, and the rhythmic sound of the train's brakes fills the moment. 

In the midst of the rush, the night doesn’t feel as quiet anymore. The station, once a quiet space, now becomes full of motion, a mix of light, sound, and the soft murmur of conversations.

Soon enough, as the train starts moving again, the station slowly returns to its former calm. The lights fade back into the darkness, leaving behind the sound of distant wheels rolling on the tracks, disappearing into the night.
